Pack Leadership
The Pack is organized and run by a group of volunteers that are parents of the children in the Pack. There are many ways in which you can help make your child's experience the best it can be.

Our Pack is entirely volunteer led and has a strong history and legacy of stewardship, keeping the Pack strong and organized for current and future generations of Scouts. Please consider how you can contribute your time and talents to our Scouts. With many hands, it is light work, and with this group, a lot of fun and camaraderie! Please contact the Cubmaster or Committee Chair for more information on how to get involved.
Pack Committee
A group of parents that meet monthly to plan Pack Meetings and other activities and outings. The committee includes all of the positions listed below and any other Pack parents interested.

Conducts the Pack Committee meetings. Also responsible for the communication between the Pack, District, Council, and Chartered Organization.

Cubmaster
Responsible for delivery of the Scouting program to the Cub Scouts. Organizes and runs the Pack meetings, recruits, and is a resource for Den Leaders.

Pack Treasurer
Responsible for managing Pack funds from member dues, fundraiser events, and group activities.

Pack Trainer
Maintains Pack Leader training records and coordinates leader training through District and Council training sessions.

Den Leaders for each Rank (Arrow of light, Webelos, Bear, Wolf, Tiger, Lion)
Responsible for organizing Den meetings and activities. Also keep track of awards, achievements and advancements for the Cub Scouts in their Den.
Camping Chair
Leads the organizing and executing of our fall and spring campouts, as well as registering the Pack for camping events each summer. The Camping Chair makes online reservations at Scout camps, helps plan for food, and coordinates our camping activities with park naturalists (Baker Park) or camp staff (fall campout).

Website Manager
Manages our Pack 283 website, Google Calendar and similar resources. This does not require deep tech skills and can be done by a moderately tech-savvy individual.

Recruitment and New Memeber Chair
Maintains and updates recruiting materials. Leads the organization and execution of fall and spring recruiting efforts with assistance from the Cubmaster and Committee Chair.
