Thank you for your interest in Pack 283. This information packet is a guide to the programs and activities we offer to allow you and your child get the most from Scouting as you move through Cub Scouts. If you have questions after reading through this information, please contact any of the Pack leaders.
Pack 283 has served the cities of Wayzata, Plymouth, and Minnetonka for over 75 years. Typically, the children who join our Pack come from Gleason Lake and St. Bart’s schools but all boys who wish to can be a part of our Pack. Cub Scouting is a year-round family program designed for boys and girls who are in Kindergarten through fifth grade. The Cub Scouting program has 10 purposes related to the overall mission of the Scouts BSA Program – to build character, learn citizenship, and develop personal fitness:

Pack 283 approaches Cub Scouting in a family friendly manner. Parents are encouraged to attend all activities with your children. Cub Scouts are encouraged to invite friends, and siblings are always welcome at any Pack sponsored activity. A detailed calendar for the year is available each fall.
