Wolf Mascot

Volunteers Needed:

Attention All Parents.
Pack 283 is entirely run by busy parents of Scouts. Each family is required to take on a volunteer duty of some type each year.

Each Den is assigned to help coordinate a Pack event.

Den assignments for the following year will be made in August. Check the annual Pack Calendar for assigned duties. Your Den may switch with another Den if you are not able to complete your obligation.

In addition, Pack Committee members and leaders meet once a month to make Pack decisions and plans. Leadership roles and Assistant Leader roles are rotated as scout families move through the ranks. For example, a Wolf Scout parent may be nominated to be assistant Cubmaster one year, then the Cubmaster the following year. Pack leadership roles are rotated every 1-3 years.

Leadership roles include:

Cubmaster, Assistant Cubmaster,
Committee Chair, Assistant Committee Chair
Webmaster, Assistant Webmaster,
Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer,
Wreath Sale Coordinator, Assistant Wreath Coordinator,
Awards Chairman and Awards Coordinators for each rank.
Committee Members,
Pack Trainer,
Snackmaster,
Ticketmaster,
Packmaster data entry and other duties may be assigned.

Two or more Den leaders per Den coordinate Den meetings with the help of shared leadership of parents.

There is something for everyone. Please contact your Den leader or Committee Chair for details.

Top Quality District training is available and paid for each leader position. Expenses are reimbursed by the Pack.

By participating in leadership, soon your son will take the lead and step up himself.
