Den Flag Activities:
Hike the Monarch trail:
Hike the "Monarch trail" and earn the "Lark on the Monarch" patch. Hike the
.8mile turf trail through the woods, prairie and over bridges. Call for advance
reservations and directions to Three Rivers Park Eastman Nature center. The
trail head is near the entrance of the Center. It takes scouts and families
about 45-50 minutes to complete the hike and the worksheet. Den leaders can
turn in the worksheets at the Viking Council office to receive the
patches.

Hike or Visit Fort Snelling:
Hike and complete the requirements for the Fort Snelling patch (appropriate for
older scouts) or just go for a historical site visit with your den.
