Cub Resident Camp
For Tigers, Wolves, Bears and 1st Year Webelos:
A weekend program which offers the opportunity for Cub Scouts and their
accompanying adult to spend quality time together working on advancements,
enjoying recreational activities and learning the fundamentals of camping in
the outdoors. Programs are similar at both camps. You'll camp with your
Pack then participate in age appropriate activities by rank, which may include
BB guns, archery, nature, crafts, outdoor skills, swimming, boating, games,
pony rides and much more during the session. Food service is provided for
these programs at all camps. A 1:1 Youth/Adult ratio is strongly recommended,
and 2:1 is required and a 1:1 ratio is required for all Cub Scout Tigers.
Camp Greenwood is $90.00 per person. Confidential full or partial scholarships are
available by contacting Treasurer@pack283.net or your den leader.
For 2nd Year Webelos:
Navajo Webelos Camp introduces second year Webelos into the basics of Boy Scout
camping. Activities at Webelos Resident camp include work on Webelos activity badges,
nature activities, swimming, boating, climbing, wrist rockets, bb-gun shooting,
archery, and sport belt loop activities. At Navajo, Webelos and Adults live in
supplied canvas wall tents on wooden platforms with canvas cots.
Food is served in a dining hall.
Camp Navajo is $100.00 per person. Confidential full or partial scholarships are
available by contacting Treasurer@pack283.net or your den leader.
The pack date works for my family. Can my son still go to camp?
-Yes. Sign up on your own or with a den mate at any of the Cub
Resident Camps with open spots. See www.goscouting.org for availabilities.
My son wants to go but his parents can't. Can he still sign up?
-Yes. While a 1:1 ratio is highly recommended, a 2:1 is permitted if your
son is comfortable being away from you and is mature enough to handle himself
responsibly. You should make arrangements with your den leader or another
adult who is going and who would be willing to supervise your son as well
as his/her own.
How do I sign up? Sign up online below, or with a
check at a Pack meeting. Space is limited and will be filled first come, first served.
